Australia’s most effective fly repellent & leading natural insect repellent.

  • Premium Rosemary & Cedarwood essential oils in vegetable & olive oil bases.
  • Repels flies, mosquitoes, midges/sandflies. Customers have reported ticks and ants in their areas.

Nature’s Botanical was first made for miners in Western Australia in 2005 to protect them from flies.

We discovered that certain types of premium Rosemary & Cedarwood essential oils worked better than any DEET/Picaridin/chemical or any other natural ingredient in repelling flies. It has APVMA (Government) registration and has sucessfully been tested both in field, in laboratories and by thousands of our customers worldwide.

  • Antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory & antifungal qualities.
  • Cruelty free, Vegan friendly.
  • Very pleasant to apply, smells nice.
  • Small Australian, family owned & operated business.
  • More than half a million units in Australia & overseas have been sold since 2005 making it Australia’s most popular natural insect repellent.

Both Rosemary & Cedarwood Essential Oils are regarded as safe for skin application by regulators such as the EPA and much safer and beneficial than chemicals such as DEET & Picaridin. In addition to their repelling properties they are well known to having antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal qualities so our customers also report the following uses/benefits of Nature’s Botanical;

Extensive field studies have shown the product can repel flies, midges/sandflies & mosquitoes for up to 4 hours when applied to lower limbs.

  • Protection time & effectiveness varies between people like any product depending on: How much is applied, the area of protection (because limbs are less attractive to flies than the face), skin chemistry & how aggressive the bugs are (difference between aggressive tropical mosquitoes & non-tropical mosquitoes).
  • Particularly for biting insects ensure the product is applied to all exposed areas, applying it like you would a sunscreen (note it does not offer SPF protection).

  • The product should be applied to exposed areas of skin. Re-apply as necessary;
  • We recommend that first time users apply a small amount to their arm to make sure there is no adverse reaction;
  • The product should not be placed in the mouth or eyes;
  • Do not use if pregnant.
  • Whilst the product is very safe, we recommend not to apply to children under the age of 2 years old. This is because they may rub it into their eyes or mouth;
  • We recommend you fasten the lids after use.

The crème is white and thick and comes in a tub. Due to its essential oils, the crème has a pleasant aromatic odour.  When the Crème is rubbed into the skin it becomes transparent and leaves no oily residue.

Due to Nature’s Botanical Lotion being substantially thinner than the Crème it is more suitable when used in a spray and roll-on application.
